男子 is more accurately "young man" or "male" or "men's..." when used as an adjective. It is used to refer to a man or men in their late teens or 20's. It is also a bit formal.
While "guy" is an acceptable synonym for "young man", it fails the test of formality. You would never see the term "guy" in a formal news report. However, you can see "男子" used quite often in news reports here: [1].
There are several "Men's Hospitals" in China, they are known as "男子医院”. Obviously not "Guys' Hospitals".
Also, you forgot one: "男的". It can be considered as "male", and can be used as a noun, in which case it is like the informal version of “男子”. There is a corresponding term 女的.
ç·å© = Boy(s)
ç·ç, shortened form of ç·æ§å¸ç = Male student(s)
ç·æ§ = Male(s)
ç·å = Guy(s)
ç·äºº = Man / men

Really? Then how do you explain the term "ç·å漢大ä¸å¤«"?
ç·äºº should be used as the words "a man" or "men" in English, the emphasis is a person or persons.
ç·å is to be used as in "male" or "males" in English, the emphasis is on the gender.
ç·å = a man
ç·äºº = the man
