I know basic spanish so i know to make store names you generally just take off the last vowel and add "ería" or something but I watch a catalan show called "El Cor De la Ciutat" and they often go to "La Fustería" and I've been wondering what it means. is it just the name of the place? or does it actually mean something?

i have a catalan-english dictionary, and the closest i could find was fusteria (with no accent mark) which means carpentry.
i will ask my friend who speaks catalan and edit this entry soon ;)
**ok he said: la fustería is where the wood's furniture is made
The ending -eria often appears on Catalan words for shops, like the French -erie and Spanish -erÃa. The plural ending is -eries.
The Catalan word "fuster" means carpenter, and "la fusteria" is "the carpentry shop". The plural is "les fusteries".
Notice that the accent mark doesn't appear on Catalan words ending in -ia, unlike Spanish!
Both i love the sun and Joshua gave very good answers, but I have to support Joshua's answer as the better of the two.
