Just because two things happen at the same time doesnt mean one caused the other.
It means two things may seem to occur together - when one occurs the other one does too - but one is not the cause of the other. For example, when we wash our hair, we may usually be in the shower. But we don't have to be. One does not cause the other.
It means that an apparent relationship between two factors or variables does not suggest that one causes the other.
Two separate things can be linked without one causing the other to happen.
