A half bath is toilet and sink. You need to find out where the shower or tub is located and how many people you have to share it with.

When I moved to Wash DC in 1964 I lived in a hotel for women (Meridian Hill hotel which is probably no longer there on 16th St near Meridian Hill Park). Our rooms were large enough for twin beds, one nightstand between them and one dresser. We had a toilet and sink. Each floor had several shower "rooms" which we shared with all the other residents. One shower to a shower room and you had to wait until it was unoccupied of course.

We didn't have air-conditioning in those rooms and it was so hot and humid that I used to take 3 showers a day - morning, when I got home from work and again before I went to bed.

See if you can't afford a studio apartment with a full bathroom.
