I'll be there for a few months and I was wondering if there are some good bistos/cafés with good French food or sports clubs (tennis, badminton, bowling etc.) that I do while I am there. (Preferably not places too too expensive!). Thank you!

Nantes is the capital of the Pays de la Loire région of north-western France and is located on the mouth of Loire river but still considers itself as an essential part of Brittany.
Nantes city centre is composed of about a quarter million people, with almost 3/4 of a million people inhabiting the metropolitan area of Nantes. It is the 6th largest city in France, and is considered one of the most desirable places to live in France, especially for young professionals who enjoy the arts and don't want to live in Paris. It has a brilliant university and the centre is buzzing with life. There are small cafés, bistros and various tiny ethnic restaurants that cater for students and the local working population, and even an elegant Mc Donald's close to the main square, where prices are very reasonable. There are good local sporting facilities, plenty of culture and all sorts of things that you can do in such a huge city, and it means the nightlife is quite lively too. You will be spoilt for choice when you get there.
Sucé-sur-Erdre in Loire Atlantique is relatively well known in the area for its scenic river landscapes, and its many water sports opportunities, including fishing, sailing, windsurfing in Mazerolles (Funboard44), kayaking, and water skiing. It has essentially no industry, the main employer is a large convalescence home. There are many shops (butcher, baker, etc...) and one small supermarket.
Enjoy your stay!
