Yes.  In America, an engineer can buy any house he or she wants to.  The bank will want to know, though, how ya gonna pay for it??

Sure, if he makes 175K a year and has $49.5 million for a down payment.  Then he'd have to figure out how to pay the taxes though.

Sure.  Really good engineers make megabucks.  And engineers from wealthy family's inherit megabucks.

Depends what the engineer's income is, or whether he has around 50 million dollars in the bank.
