3500 calories= 1pound
so say for example i want to loose 10 pounds.Would i multiply 3500by10 geting 35000 calories to burn??
Or is that not how it works???

yea... no that's not how it works. cause you could burn 35000 calories but still eat bad foods and GAIN weight. so the real way to do it is gradually make changes, e.g. give up soda, no chocolate, no chips, exercise more, ect.
