My uncle took his own life. We found lots of empty paracetamol tablets and wine glasses of water.
The neighbour found him the next day slumped in bed with blood trickling down his bedside and vomit.
Today the neighbour told me he found him hunched over in bed.
He said he was black from the waist up.
My question is why would my uncle (a Caucasian man) turn black from the waste up from a paracetamol overdose.
I really feel upset and haunted by these words, and wondered if the cause of death is something else? Why would the body go black from the waist up? Could it be the liver damage from the paracetamol? Or blood after death? Or was the cause of the death something else.
I just want your opinion. I will find out the cause of death eventually but I’d like some opinions because I’m feeling down about the whole thing.

If your uncle was in a warm place, his body could have changed once he was dead. Just a natural process.
Wait for the Autopsy, and/or Coroners Court, to explain it.
"Black" is usually a sign of blood pooling, which would be the lowest point of the body. "Lividity" is the process through which the body's blood supply will stop moving after the heart has stopped pumping it will drain to the lowest point(s).
