I think it's a possibility. Looking back, there have been a number of actors, comedians, and musicians who have sprung back into the public eye through media exploitation of scandalous antics. There's an old saying - "there's no such thing as bad press", and that seems to especially apply in the world of show biz. While Mr. Richards' actions certainly looked spontaneous, it's important to remember he's a trained actor, presumably one with a publicist and agent interested in ways to get him back into the public eye post-Seinfeld. Who's to say it wasn't an act aimed at jumpstarting or reinventing his career? Maybe he wants to 'get an edge'....

I would have said no, but then i found out that he did the same thing to a Jewish person, just after that
his name is Michael Richards, and no. it was a moment of fury in which he made a bad decision and spit out the first thing that came to mind.
