We can't be surprised anymore by Trump or his supporters anymore. At this point we know Trump spreads lies whether he says it, posts it or shares a video. People who have had personal relationships have explained his process. Trump will consciously spread disinformation if he believes it'll accomplish something he wants. It's in several books written about him.

There's no point in looking to Trump supporters to understand them. They've solidified who they are. No matter what Trump does they will rationalize it to be fine. Do they believe his lies? I can't imagine they're stupid enough to think Trump would never lie or hasn't lied. Their choice in supporting him has become their identity so they've trapped themselves with him. It isn't their identity but imagine if they accepted they supported the wrong person after building that into their identity? What would they have to admit about themselves after accepting that? There's no hope for these people.

Also, someone doctored that and spread it. Someone knows they lied.
