If you feel like you need to tell her, and you think she may like you back, then wait and tell her in person. If you tell her over the phone, the next time you see her it will be so awkward you may not talk. However, it may just be a temporary crush, crushes last a short time, friendships can last forever. So if it were me, I would wait a while, and see if the feelings wear off, if you still have strong feelings for this girl after a while, then tell her.

It depends on how she is with you. If she flirts with you, and stuff like that then maybe she feels the same way. I was in this same situation my self with my best friend, I told him how i felt and at first he didnt say much but we ended up being together for over 3 years, and to be honest with you it was an amazing relationship because we had the bond from being friends. The only issue with that is if you was to break up you never know how your friendship is going to be after, but as ,long as you was to treat her right then i couldnt see why you couldnt still be friends after. Tell her how much you like her. Face to face, or even just by text. The worst that could happen is that she doesn't like you back. :/

But don't push it. If she tells you she doesn't feel the same way, tell her that it doesn't matter and you don't mind. Then change the subject :)

I think the best thing to do is be honest with her. I'm a girl and ifa girl asks someone who he likes, usually it's to find out if they like them or not. So perhaps she likes you too? :)
