To make the switch you have to put a negative sign in front of the 3-w. Like this: -(w-3).
After that you'll have this equation: 5-w/w-3 - [-(4w-9/w-3)]...all i did there was put that negative sign in front of the overall equation of 4w-9/w-3.
From here, when you subtract a negative, you are basicly adding. SO... you'll get this equation:
