Mormonism teaches we had a ‘pre-existence’ ~ Which completely contradicts the Bible.
Mormonism consistently misinterprets Biblical truth about God’s foreknowledge of our existence;

Brigham Young also made this false claim:
“Things were first created spiritually; the Father actually begat the spirits and they were brought forth and lived with Him.”
Mormonism loves to cite Jeremiah 1:5: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you…” but the fact that God knew, sanctified & ordained Jeremiah before his birth proves God’s **foreknowledge**, not our pre-existence.
Likewise, they quote Job 38:4 and 7, “Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth … and all the sons of God shouted for joy?” which also proves God’s **foreknowledge**, not our pre-existence.
Angels are NOT pre-existent humans.
Believing we had any pre-existence makes Mormonism more Hindu than Christian.
The Bible clearly teaches:
“The spiritual did not come first, but the natural, and after that the spiritual.” ~ 1 Corinthians 15:46
“God breathed life into him, and Adam became a living soul.” ~ Genesis 2:7
“Pre-existence” has always been soundly denounced by Christianity as unbiblical heresy.

Yes, that's pretty much the gist of it. God in mormonism went through the exaltation process to become God. He once was not the Father of us. Only when he was perfected, he achieved the ability to "organize" things into a physical presence. Mormon theology implies an infinite regression of gods. God's own father organized God into a man. That man later exalted into our Heavenly Father, and then he was able to organize matter into Earth, and organize spirit children into physical bodies. The mormon gods do NOT create from nothing. Creatio ex nihilo is not accepted by mormons.
Only one is wise and that is God. Seek God. Dark Ages interpretations of the Bible do not make those Dark Ages interpretations right, just because people were murdered in the Dark Ages if they disagreed with flat Earth interpretations of God's holy words.
The truth is the truth. And God knows the truth. And God out ranks all of His critics.
The Pharisees used the exact same kind of argumentation that you just used. And then they grabbed Jesus Christ and crucified Him.
Repent. Keep the commandments of Jesus Christ.

It is mammonism. The reason it is so hard to get a straight answer from followers of mammonism about their faith is because of a doctrine they have called "Lying for Christ". This is why when people are told that Mitt Romney is an elder and preacher for this church they are generally surprised. And when they are made aware of this doctrine, they begin to realize why he seems to constantly twist the truth and has turned this campaign into the circus of personal attacks it has become.
They smile in your face and tell you what they think you should hear. Not the truth, just their spin on it.
