I went to 3 interviews for a job I really wanted. They confirmed that they will offer me a contract but when I went to the interview with Human resources, they told me that the director of Human resources had to leave because her mom had passed away. The person I saw was not the human resources person but was one of the high managers who asked me a couple of questions and told me that as soon as she comes back, she will call me. He reassured that they have no doubth that they want me to work for them. They said that she would call me Monday or Tuesday but It is Wednesday and I havent heard anything. My current employer already knows because that company called for references and they told me, but I have not heard anything yet. Do you think they changed their mind ? Or maybe the person hasn't come back?

I would call them tomorrow, Thursday, or Friday,
I would think after 3 inteviews they would have a decision for you.
about six years ago a friend of mine had three interviews for a job and then they gave him a pee test and then they said no.
I'm pretty sure he doesn't do drugs.
Don't feel embarrassed to keep bugging them. You need the job not them.
First of all more than one interview is a red flag that indicates a company is disorganized corporate nonsesnse. They will take months to do something that one person can do in a matter of minutes because they'll have to have their ridiculous meeting after meeting after meeting after meeting with this person and that group and these managers and then those managers and then meetings with the other managers who manage the managers and then a meeting with those managers manager(s) to go over this and that and the other ridiculous thing.
Then they'll have other meetings upon meetings to decide on what was said in the other meetings they've already had. Then they'll have another meeting to waste time going over what they might consider as a decision. Then they'll have meetings to go over the decisions they decide to consider, then they'll have meetings upon meetings to make a decision, then meetings to decide who enforces the decision.
Don't hold your breath. And keep looking for other jobs. It could be next year before they get done screwing around with their nonsense. It should only take one interview to get a job. Multiple interviews are completely un-necessary.
Sometimes when a close family member passes away that individual takes a little additional time off from work. I'd be patient a while longer.
Firstly, wait for 2-3 days after the interview then you should try to call to company and ask about the update.
One day late is not cause for panic. Odds are that the HR person had to be out longer than anticipated.
There is nothing wrong with a polite follow up call asking if there is anything further you need to do to help with the process.
Most likely she's not back yet or they're still getting paperwork together. good luck
I would contact them within a week
No, it sounds like it's still gonna happen. Wait until say Tuesday next week then contact them if you haven't heard from them.
Follow up yourself using a TELEPHONE, not an email nor messaging.
