I have a friend who did a high dose of chemo early on monday. He says a lot of his hair and beard fell out pretty much the same day, but when I saw him today he had quite a lot of hair, like he'd just gone in for a buzz cut and shave, and his eyebrows were intact. His hair does grow insanely fast, but still does this sound legit? I thought it took a few weeks for chemo to kill your hair, and even longer for it to start coming back.

Everyone reacts different but the same day I've never heard of. Usually it takes a few treatments before
any real change, but when it does it isn't easy to hide. Many people cut their hair in preparation of the inevitable. Not only can it fall out but when it grows back it can be completely different hair. My father and my cousin looked like they had afros for 6-8 months. My cousins hair took about 4 years to turn back to her original texture. So you never really know what you are going to get.
