I would call it 'Homemade takeaway' and it would have things like pasta, schnitzel, potato bake, sausage sandwiches, roast dinner with baked vegies, stir fries etc.
i wouldn't. someone who works in the restaurant industry and a cook went to culinary school. worked for some big name corporate businesses. i'll pass.
i've SEEN a lot of shet in this industry by customers and employee's very disgusting to say the least. why i wouldn't though outside of that is the most simplest reasonings. 1. COST - cost to run restaurants are NOT cheap you NEVER want to skimp out of quality of food trust me thats a good way to lose customers you need to balance quality with prices it's not easy tbh.
2. staff - our turn over rate is probably one of the highest in any industry. people quit left and right shet the newest dish washer at my job showed up for 1 shift and said fk it and quit. EASY job too but nobody cares because this shet is normal for us. people often expect high pay with little work thats just how a lot of people are in this industry and yea it's hard work were ALWAYS under staffed.
3. competition - there is a saying in this industry EXPECT to not make any income for the first 5 years meaning after paying all expenses including staff, food, etc.. your left with little to no income for the first 5 years IF you manage to do well you will be up and kicking by then if not then you shet out of luck and file for bankruptcy. ive seen a lot of restaurants shut down here within those 5 years. some made it past but competition in my state is crazy in this field.
it's ALWAYS the small independant businesses that treat their employee's and customers well too. the corporate businesses you need to watch out for they always advertise they got great benefits and all that bs but tbh they full of shet. they treat their employee's terribly. worked for one recently worked 30 hours before i quit because they didnt give me a set schedule they only paid me for 8 hours which is illegal btw. worked for another they didnt cook jack shet everything was canned/pre cooked all we did was open bags and plate um charging customers a pretty penny. LOTS of things people dont know in this industry unless you work it but just my 2cents not once had i worked for a very large company that treated me well.
currently work for another one they treat the employee's fairly well imo BUT they fk us over as well for a profit by giving us less to work with and constantly getting complaints from customers on why we dont have this item when it says we do. now we serve X amount of items per day for a limited time. once it's gone your shet out of luck. any side dishes gone that is gone your shet out of luck too.

I've always wanted to bring back an old fashioned Soda shop......that sold Chocolate Egg Creams drinks, and rows and rows of candy.
Licorice whips and that sort of thing.
There was just something great about getting a chocolate egg cream, and a pretzel rod, for 2 extra cents.

Mainly healthy stuff, but filling and tasty too.
I would call it The Lard & Ladle.
customer: "I'll have the special"
(Waiter brings out a large tub of lard with a spade, dips a large ladle into an enormous pot of lumpy gravy and slops it over the top.)
I will call it “The Bolt Hole” .Nobody is faster than Usain Bolt and I will serve curried King Prawn omelettes
O Bento. That means lunch box.

I would serve pancakes, both savoury and sweet and I would name it ''The Crepe Canteen''
‘Fashion Food’
All the things will be very fancy including items in menu
How bout a sub shop called, “ EAT THIS!”?
Lucky's that's all I have
