Does anybody know the speed mode of above-mentioned three types of SanDisk CF card? (Ultra DMA 2, 3, 4, 5??? NOTE: The mode shows in windows xp device manager.)
I'm responsible for testing PC motherboard. The CF card is conneted to our motherboard via IDE interface. Before verifying the CF card performance and function, I must know the correct speed mode of each SanDisk CF card. (The SanDisk website only addresses each CF card's rough speed value. )
I really appreciate your help.

I looked but I found the same approximate data on SanDisk you found. I suggest you send an email to the SanDisk engineering dept.
The Ultra II writes at 9mb per second and the Extreme III at 20mb per second... your largest file size is probably in the 3.5mb range (I have an xti and its about 4.5mb, so I'm guessing a little) and your camera can take 3 fps in continuous shooting... so in the case that you are shooting in continuous your camera will create 10.5mb of info and an Ultra II can write 9mb worth of stuff... so what will happen is there will be a slight lag (1/10 of a second or so) between the 2nd and 3rd pic and everyone thereafter while you hold the button down because your card can't keep up. That will be the only difference between the two cards... oh and like everyone else here... $5 are you seriously joking here? Buy the Extreme III... Why is this even a question?
