Notice that g(x) NEVER = 0 (-x² never = +5) so it has zero x axis intercepts (where y = g(x) = 0).
But f(x) = x² = 0 when x = 0 so it has one x-intercept
note : g(x) ≤ - 5 ===> no intercepts....while f(x) = x² ≥ 0...one intercept
