In a Christian church, there is, of course, the homily or sermon of the priest, pastor or minister (which these days you may read and scrutinize on the Internet). There is singing by a choir or by the congregation. Some give communion every Sunday; some once a month; others, none at all. Some have public confession of sins. Some dress in their Sunday best. Others are not particular about the attire worn by the attendees but there is a minimum requirement. There is also a news bulletin about the service that week plus announcements. There is the offering of tithes or contributions. Could you please enumerate what you wish that a Sunday service should have?

Crusader,
From what I have read in the BIBLE, the Sunday Morning Service should include "Singing of the members, Prayers, The LORD'S SUPPER, an opportunity to Give as we have been prospered, Reading of Scriptures, an opportunity to become a Christian/to ask for the prayers of the congregation, and a Sermon to teach from GOD'S WORD. These things are all seen in the Scriptures and occurred on the First Day of the Week accordingly. Have a great day (today) and a wonderful LORD'S DAY.
Thanks,

Frog,
CHRIST said where ever two or more are gathered in my name, I am there. Thus HE will be present. Whenever GOD'S CHILDREN assemble, the HOLY SPIRIT is among them (also).

God's presence, a minimum dress requirement, a song that the congregation could sing together before a 45 minute sermon and a service every sunday at 10:00 am....pretty standard.
The worship of God in a church, in my opinion, should be daily if possible but instead of all the "traditions of man" and and "personal life experiences" preached there should be more bible read chapter by chapter and verse by verse with understanding.
Many get lost in the traditions of man that when you ask them something about the bible they don't know how to answer. If the congregation doesn't have the knowledge of what God has to say in the bible than all they are doing is playing church.
Many churches also preach "salvation" every other week and they never get to the rest of the word. If a congregation is already saved why keep preaching salvation.
Isa 28:9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? [them that are] weaned from the milk, [and] drawn from the breasts.
Isa 28:10 For precept [must be] upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, [and] there a little:
(Chapter by chapter and verse by verse)
A coffee shop and lounge area. You know - for "fellowship" time...and a tasty mocha cappucino.
In all seriousness, though, I think bible study with groups of people you can relate to, is important. At my church, we sing, hear a teaching, then split into groups for classroom-style bible study...and food. Also, many Sunday services lack prayer. There should be prayer way more often. Prayer before and after the teaching, prayer before and after reading scripture, prayer over the children before dismissing them to Sunday school classes, prayer prayer prayer. Prayer is hugely missing from Sunday church services, in my opinion, all across this country. Prayer is how we connect to God, and if we lack prayer, then we lack connection to God, and church suddenly becomes focused on us, and no longer on God. I've seen these types of churches, where if people are not entertained enough, they leave.
Scripture and prayer and scripture and prayer only. Is that so hard to do? People can be blissful all they want at home. Also, the Sabbath is Saturday. Sunday conforms with the sungod worshipers, so that's why Pope Gregory moved worship to Sunday.
