In the gospel of John, several of Jesus’ disciples went with Peter fishing. Two were mentioned but were not identified. This is in John 21:1-2:
1 After these things Jesus showed himself again to the disciples at the Sea of Tiberias; and on this wise showed he himself.
2 There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathaael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples.
Who were these two unnamed disciples? Could they be James, the son of Zebedee and John his brother? It couldn’t be because it already listed the “sons of Zebedee”.
Verse 7 mentioned one of them: “Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord.
In Verses 20-23, it identified one of the disciples, to wit:
20 Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee?
Update:To Punk_Rckr83 – Did you know that I have proposals for world peace and order? Did you know that I am proposing to change the calendar, time, and time zone that the world presently use? Did you know that I recommend that we build Aristean Planned Cities to give mankind a better quality of life? Religion is only one of the aspects that I am trying to be put in order that is why I raise questions. This is in connection with what I heard and learned from the Holy Spirit Himself. My motto is pro aris et focis (for the defense of or for the sake of religion and home). Would you like to be a partner in my crusader?

I have often wondered about this. I think it likely that Andrew was there, as Peter's brother and fishing partner (a useful chap to take on a boat) and Philip, who was big pals with Nathanael and who introduced him to the Lord in the first place. At such a time they would naturally have gravitated to people who were close to them.
James and John, as you have surmised, were there as sons of Zebedee. John is being characteristically modest about his role in this particular little drama, but urges the reader to believe what he says, because he was an eye witness and his testimony is true.
The unnamed diciples were most likely John and Peter that the bible states unknown diciples. Jesus restores Peter by asking him 3x do he loves the lord. Peter was Jesus loved disciple. Peter said Yes Lord I love thee and Jesus said tend to my sheep. Jesus restored Peter but yet he still deceived Jesus.
John and James. They were Simon Peters deck hands when Jesus called them.
Dude..!! if you could dedicate the same amount of effort you put by studying the bible...this world would be far better.... do something...aport something usefull to man kind.
