Ok long story short..
I opened a new bank account and wanted to change my direct deposit info. I texted my boss Saturday night telling her I needed it changed, she did not reply. So I texted her Monday reminding her and she told me to send her the info.
I sent it.
She then proceeded to text me and told me she changed it, in that same message she sent me my paycheck stub, it had my last 4 digits of my old account # listed..
It's no big deal because I will still get my pay, but jus curious if she made a mistake or maybe reversed it and fixed it??
(Yes I have tried contacting her to ask, she is out of town not taking calls)

It can take a couple weeks for a change like that to take effect. Surely you didn't expect her to drop what she was doing on a Saturday night and do it immediately.
The change does not happen immediately with payroll, sounds like the check was set up before you gave her the money. Check your bank account, if the pay got routed to a closed account, it will be returned
There's only an issue if you closed the other bank account. The payment will not go through and will have to be reissued.
Usually there is at least a one pay period lag between direct deposit changes.
Depending when you notify your company, it might be 2 pay periods.
Your manager should not be accepting this kind of information from a text. If they don't have a formal process, at least provide a signed letter.
You changed your bank info by texting your boss?
Your employer doesn't have a more secure process for updating direct deposit?
It normally takes 1-2 paychecks before the info is updated, especially if you make the change right before a paycheck is issued.Leave the old account open until you start seeing paychecks go to the new account.
How on earth would we know?
My guess is that payroll was processed before she changed it.
For pete's sake, stop bothering your boss on her off time. Communicate with her when she is AT WORK.
