Both verbs (møte and møtes) means - to meet.
What is the difference between them? For example I found in a book such sentence "Vi tar bare et glass vin når vi møtes."
Why can't we end this sentence "nåt vi møter sammen" or just "når vi møter"? When to use "møtes" and when to use "møte"?

møte is a transitive verb - A (who?) meets (whom?) B
A transitive verb always requires a direct object.
møtes is a (kind of) reflexive verb: A and B meet (meaning: each other, not another person C).
A reflexive verb needs no object. "A and B" are considered as one subject, interacting with each other.
møtes is a reciprocal verb -- meaning we meet EACH OTHER
You can say "Når vi møter hverandre" but møtes sounds more natural
