for almost 3 days now.
He has leukemia, and recently got sick. He's isolated himself for the past couple days before he disappeared. I tried looking for him in my yard and called out for him; he would usually come around by the end of the day, but he hasn't shown up for the past two days. Tomorrow will be day three. I'm really scared!
He would barely eat before he got out. I don't want him to die, but I'm starting to feel like he's dead.
What's the best thing to do right now? I still have very little (very, very, very little) hope that he may be out there not coming out.

Hun I know it must be scary for you. Find your calmness and call aspca to search for your cat. Keep your head up high sweety :)
I'm sorry to hear about your cat. Many animals, even beloved pets choose to go off by themselves when they are preparing to die.
Cats and dogs are well known for choosing to not eat when they are near the end of their lives. Eating may actually become stressful for them.
It is part of their natural Instinct to isolate themselves, they know that they are weak and cannot protect themselves from any other animal or person that may hurt them.
Chances are very likely that your cat went off by himself because he knew that his time was near.
My family and I have enjoyed cats and dogs as part of our family for many years and have experienced this with one of our cats and one of our dogs.
The cat went and hid in a storage area which we did not enter very frequently and the dog went under a couch in our family room. It was very frightening in the moment, but when we discussed what had happened with our vet, he made us understand that this happened quite frequently and was not something that we did incorrectly or anything we could have stopped from happening.
I will say a prayer for your cat, hopefully he will go peacefully to sleep and not be in any pain. You can continue calling for him, but chances are likely that he has chosen to remain hidden during this time.
You allow a cat to free roam that has Feline Leukemia? WTF!!?? he's probably infected every single cat in your neighbourhood! So hopefully he's either dead or picked up and being kept by someone else. Shame on you. Wow.
Omg the poor thing :( I hope he'll be ok
