And look to the diet because a cereal based diet tends to 'go right through' without being properly digested, so it tends to appeal more to a dog the second time round. With a food that has more meat/fish content, it tends to be more fully digested. But that's not always the case as unless I'm right there, mine would be doing this too!

You could have trained him not to "eat his business" by providing sufficient daily walk/elimination times outside and cleaning up after him immediately so he couldn't "eat his business", obviously you didn't. Dogs can't consume things that aren't made available to them, a properly trained 'Leave it' command could one day save his life....Grow up, act your age, not your shoe size.
German shepherds do that and retreivers. Try to clean up after your dog and train it no. Bath, brush teeth if it allows you. Tell your mom to mind her own business.
Its not a big deal also. Dog poo is not that smelly. I guess try cleaning up poop more often or right away unless you walk your dog and leave piles lol. or use a bag.
Your mom is being very dumb and unreasonable. God forbid she gets old someday and poops herself. Tell your mom to let you train the dog, and pick up after it, and you wont forgive her when she gets old and you gotta take care of her. If that may backfire, then try making sure to tell your mom to lighten up and its normal.
Get some pineapple, put it in his food. Dogs like pineapple and it's OKAY for them too. However, it changes the smell of he poo and they no longer want to eat it.
Check at PetSmart or Petco. They make a spray to apply to that "Business" that supposedly makes them NOT want to eat it. As I am a cat person, I can't guarantee it, but it's worth a try to keep your pet.
Speak to someone at a rescue group or a shelter and ask what is wrong and take him to see a vet. Some animals do that because they are hungry. Your mother is wrong to make that decision. It may be a problem that some medicine can solve. Take him to a vet right away. Some of the animal shelters have low cost help.

Is your mother a Vet?
Cause only a VET can put your dog down.
And no Vet would put down a healthy dog even if they have developed the habit of faeces consumption.
