I've seen so many people spin their wheels at work. Yes, work smarter, plan your work and multitask. It's the only way to have something left over when you get home
Those dullards who cannot work 'smarter' can compensate by working harder, no?
It is an irrational assumption that all have that same intellectual ability to 'work smarter!
We do as we can!
The smart work smarter...
There is no choice!
I do not wake up in the day and decide to be a dullard! Or anything else!
Our nature at the moment dictates what we do and think and say!
The rest is vanity!
There are no such 'choices', but such 'bumpersticker 'wisdom' ain't, and most haven't the ability to actually examine the cute sounding bumperstickerish folk 'sayings'!
It sounds good, though, and probably site on the lunchroom wall.
The proof is in the pudding, as they say. If these worker's output is the same or better than those who are working "harder"....Then they have a good case.
Efficiency is always desirable.
However, they may merely think they're working smarter and not putting out any more product than are the "workers".

whereas working harder may not prevent such misgivings.
