So I finally got a cat after 2 years of begging my parents to allow me to own one and when I adopted my little kitty, everything was perfect. The day I got her she went straight to the litter box and she never had any accidents so i never spent time to litter train her as it seemed like she already was and this lasted for months until one day I cleaned her litter box and this was probably the 2nd or 3rd time ever cleaning it and now she rarely uses it and has almost daily accidents for a couple of weeks now but only in 1 area. I tried placing a litter box in that area to try to stop the accidents but she would just do her business beside it instead of inside. I tried hiding this from my dad as I know he would what to get rid of the cat knowing she wasn’t using the litter box but he found out as she did it infront of him yesterday. He said if it happened again we would get rid of her and I can’t lose her, I worked so hard to get her and I would be crush.. please help

First cat needs to see a vet to determine if its a medical problem (possible UTI). Second, is the cat spayed? If not, get her done as cats in heat will often pee in other places (marking). Third, get a good litter and litter pan (even two pans) and keep the pan clean from poop and urine daily.
Take her to the vet. She may have a medical problem. Kittens are litter-trained by their mothers; people don't have to do it if the kitten stayed with its mother long enough.
First, she needs a vet visit as there's a good chance she has a urinary tract infection that needs to be treated.
Then, you need to do a better job maintaining her litter box from now on. Every day the box needs to be scooped, removing solid waste and areas soiled with urine. Once a week, you need to remove and discard all the old litter, scrub out the box thoroughly, and put in all new fresh litter. Cats like a clean place to go to the bathroom and don't want to stand and scratch around in filth.
She most likely has a UTI and needs to go to the vet.
You also need to clean up the accidents properly with an enzyme based cleaner, like nature's Miracle or something similar. This is because she can still smell the pee spots, so she thinks its ok to go there again because it smells just like her litter box. Clean up the pee spots, and they won't smell like that to her.
You also need to scoop her box every day. Expecting her to dig around in a dirty box is gross. Scoop her box at least once a day, and she will want to go in her box because its clean every time she needs to go.
Your cat likely has a bladder infection. Some cats will even urinate on a tile surface to show you there is a problem, some right by your own toilet. But, most often, they find a hidden area to urinate. The reason is that when they urinate, the infection causes pain, so they associate the actual box with the pain. Then, they try different spots hoping it won't hurt when they pee there.
You also have said you have only cleaned the box a couple times? Does this mean the box hasn't had much waste/urine in it, so it didn't need cleaning? In that case, the cat has been going elsewhere for awhile.
Or, does this mean the box has gotten quite dirty and you have left it that way? In that case, you could not blame the cat for going somewhere else. Cats do not like to step on that icky stuff.
Consider these:
-Many cats DO NOT like covered boxes. If the box is covered, remove the cover.
-If a litter box is placed in a place that is "scary" to a cat, it won't use the box. That might be by a washer or dryer, or in a difficult place to reach.
-If there is another animal or thing preventing the use of the box, the cat may not use it.
-If the box is dirty, the cat won't want to step on the old pee or poop spots. You must scoop the box, daily.
-Two boxes are better than one. Put them in different locations, and use a larger box such as a storage box that the cat can actually fit in.
-Some cats have been used to and PREFER to do their business OUTDOORS. If this cat was used to going outside, she may appreciate the ability to go outside to pee and poop. That is one HUGE litter pan, and the cat doesn't need to ever pee or poop in the same place, twice. We have a cat who likes to go out like a dog, and doesn't really like the litter box, but he will gladly go in the grass any time.
Consider these things, BUT take the cat to the vet. If she has a bladder infection, she can be put on antibiotics to clear the infection. You will still need to look at these other things, as well. If, for example, she doesn't like covered boxes, or the box is in a scary location, she will still avoid it.
If you cannot keep her TAKE HER TO AN ANIMAL RESCUE LEAGUE, and not to a shelter. Shelters euthanize between 50 and 80% of the animal brought to them. Rescue leagues do not put animals down (don't kill them). You can find rescue leagues at pet supply stores on weekends. You must bring the cat along and ask for help. Tell them you can't keep the cat. They will work with the cat and figure out what is going on, and then find her a new home. Do NOT call or email first, or they will say they are full and cannot take her.
Have you recently changed the litter - the make - because it could be as simple as your cat not liking the smell, or feel of what's in the box. On the other hand, could be she has an infection (is she emptying more often?) . Has anything else changed in your home that could have upset her. Is another cat getting in and using the box?
You say you've only cleaned the box 2 or 3 times (that's not enough!!) - so did you use a strong smelling cleaner? Try washing it and rinsing it thoroughly, and drying it so there's no strange smell there.
take her to a vet, such behavior change is often a sign of illness
