Yesterday I bought lifetime subscription for SuperAntiSpyware software. It cleaned my computer & all seemed ok. However it doesn’t switch on anymore- so I think it has deleted my operating system.
When I switch on the computer it says The requested operation was unsuccessful – lsaass.exe Operation Failed
If I do F8- non of the options work. Fe they return with the same note. Meaning I cant go pass the Aspire Series page to put in the password for starting WinXP Media Centre. Only option I have is to click ok for the note & then it restarts computer again with the same message.
I can do F12 & recovery disc, however I am in London & my all computer doc are at my origin country. So it would be cheaper to buy a new computer than going there to get it. (Original software stickers are on the back side of my computer though)
Would it work if I use someone else’s recovery disc- its for newer version of Acer with Vista for temporary until I get access to my recovery disc? Or is there a different way to fix it- I am just so desperate to have my laptop working again.
I even don’t know what are the good repair companies here in central London.
I would be thankful for any advice!

If your computer runs through the start up sequence there may be a problem with Windows.
However if there is no display at all then your looking at a major hardware problem - most likely a failed Mainboard.
