Hello,
I know the meaning of wedlock is “the state of being married” and people often use the expression “born out of wedlock” to refer to children who are born to unmarried parents. Can you use the expression “out of wedlock” in other ways? For example, can you say “People should not live together out of wedlock.”? Can you use the expression “in wedlock” to mean “the state of being married”? For example, can you say “A couple should only live together in wedlock.”?
