its for maths revision, can someone please explain the process and answer, much appreciated
(2x)³=8x³(Remove the brackets).
it is 8x^3 the rule of powers with parenthesis is that the power out side the parenthesis is applied to all numbers within the parenthesis.
along with that another rule of powers is that if a variable (x) has a power inside the parenthesis (x^2)^3 you multiply those powers = X^6
FOR PETES SAKE. 2times 3x= 6x. 3times y= 3y -situations x= -1x - situations -2y= 2y 6x +3y -x +2y=0 6x-x= 5x. 3y+2y= 5y as a result 5x+5y=0 Simplify with the help of factoring '5' out of the two words: 5(x+y)=0
(2x)^3
(2^3x^3)
(8x^3)
8x^3
=8x^3
maybe!!!
