Computer Speed…?
I’m thinking about buying a computer game, which takes up a lot of memory, and uses a lot of resources. I was wondering if a game is too big, would slow down my computer, even if it’s not running (the game that is.) So, I guess my question would be, would putting a large program (that you won’t use everyday) on my computer slow it down for everyday uses?

No, installing the game will NOT slow down your computer since the game will not be running in the background while you are not playing. The only thing to slow down will be the game if your computer barely meets the minimum system requirements.
Not really. The only times that you start to see any kind of performance difference is if you have several games taking up space. If you start running low on free space, it can start slowing down your machine. Another thing is that the differences in the files could cause fragmentation. You would just want to run a defrag. To answer your question, no (unless it takes up all of the free space you have left).

No, when you are not using it all it does is take up space on the hard drive. Unless you have a hard drive that is under 40GB, having the game on there will not hurt everyday performance.
is your computer new, as long as you have enough hard drive space, the game you installed on your computer won't affect the everyday use at all. the problem is can your computer run the game smoothly, check the recommanded requirement of the game before you buy it
have a new pc with 1024mbr in and a Dual Core Processor . a hard drive of 300gb and all your pc games will work fine
