Ladies,…How strong is the Female friendship?

Here’s the (made up) scenario. You just came home after attending your best friends wedding reception. You just settle in to go to sleep when the phone rings. It’s your girlfriend calling and she's sounds upset. She is waiting for her new husband (who is a good man btw) to get out of the shower so the wedding consummation can begin (if you know what I mean…).

She is nervous about the whole thing and is in tears practically, despite all your advice to calm her down she makes an unusual request…She asks if you would stay on the phone with her through the entire thing (consummation) and talk her through it.

What would be your response (at that moment) to your best friend, after hearing such an odd request? What would you say to her?

(And please note that I said her new husband is a “good man” so the possibility of being abused is NOT why she’s upset, let’s just say she just nervous as hell)…
