Which of the following statements about eternal life is closest to your views?
(1) Being saved & staying saved (i.e., having Eternal life) depends on avoiding bad works and doing enough good works. A person who doesn’t meet Jehovah’s righteous expectations has no hope of living forever in paradise earth.
(2) Good works are the necessary evidence (fruits) of a genuine saving faith. In other words, God doesn’t maintain some sort of naughty & nice list when it comes to determining who gets eternal life. Salvation depends totally on accepting Jesus, not on good works.
1 John 5:13 says that Christians must KNOW that we have eternal life. If your view about salvation is number 1, please explain to us how many works of righteousness Jehovah requires in order to earn a spot in paradise earth. Obviously, no Christian is perfect. So if I am 94 percent righteous and six percent sinful, will Jehovah overlook the six percent failure rate?
This question might sound nitpicky, but seeing as how scripture tells us that we should KNOW that we are saved with absolute clarity, it seems that a precise standard is needed.
Can you tell us what standard that is?

1 - Make sure those answering are Jehovah's Witnesses as many people like to pretend and offer deceptive answers about their beliefs.
2 - I'm going to give you a link from the official JW website that shows their beliefs in that matter:

Jehovah's Witnesses do not believe in the once saved always saved philosophy. They go by the words found at James 2: 24, 26 - YOU see that a man is to be declared righteous by works, and not by faith alone. [...] Indeed, as the body without spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead.
We must continue to serve God faithfully, by his standards outlined in the scriptures, to have the hope of everlasting life.
However, as you noted, God knows we aren't perfect so he knows we will make mistakes. The key is to strive to always do our best for the Lord.
Salvation is through faith and love (Romans 1:17; Matthew 22:37-39). But we show our faith to others as well as to Jehovah by our works (James 2:26). However there is another requirement for being saved. And that is we must endure to the end (Matthew 24:13). Whether our end be death, the end of this system of things, or the end of the thousand year reign, we must endure all the way (compare Ezekiel 18:24).
You said to proper you if you're incorrect.... So i'll right you If a person dies at present & used to be certainly not a Jehovah's Witness, they will have a biblical hope of everlasting existence considering the fact that they're going to most likely be resurrected & given the hazard to put their lifestyles so as with Jehovah's requirements. You also mentioned " a man or woman who died in yet another religion would have definitely no hope. Correct?" No that's flawed. Many humans from extraordinary religions will be given the risk to conform to God's necessities. That would mean rejecting former false worship. Nevertheless, those alive at Armageddon who've not converted will probably be eliminated. Jehovah has continuously had extraordinary rights about the "admittance criteria"... He is Almighty God. And why on the planet would he reject his own necessities & enable false worship in his paradise earth? I on no account provide a 'canned reply'

For those who may be reading this question, and truly want to know the answer, ALL those who are "saved" will be those who will live forever will be those who are doing God's will out of faith and love, and who endure until the end in so doing. (Matthew 7:21; 10:22; 24:13)
The immediate answer to the question is this: Those who gain knowledge of Jehovah and Jesus which in turn gives them faith and love, which in turn moves them to action, which action is basically obeying God and his Son with a pure motive. (John 3:16; 17:3; Hebrews 5:9) Or as Paul summarized it nicely for us in Romans 10:10-15:
“For with the heart one exercises faith for righteousness, but with the mouth one makes public declaration for salvation. For the Scripture says: “None that rests his faith on him will be disappointed.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for there is the same Lord over all, who is rich to all those calling upon him. For “everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah will be saved.” However, how will they call on him in whom they have not put faith? How, in turn, will they put faith in him of whom they have not heard? How, in turn, will they hear without someone to preach? How, in turn, will they preach unless they have been sent forth? Just as it is written: “How comely are the feet of those who declare good news of good things!”
The righteous ones who are resurrected (as well as any who may survive) who have not done God’s will in the past will be taught what these requirements are. (Isaiah 26:9, 10; 65:20) Some will accept and some will reject, but it will be their choice, and they will be taught the information they need to make a decision.
We are not guaranteed eternal life. The Bible says we must beware that we do not fall. We all sin many times whether by word or deed. If we endure to the end, we will be saved. Matthew 24:13 However, the Bible tells us another thing we must do to be saved. Romans 10:13 For "everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah will be saved." Read on from there verses 14-21 See for yourself what you must be doing if you are to gain salvation from this wicked system of things. Learn more at www.jw.org. I trust and believe the Bible to be our guide book to eternal life.
Romans 3:24 says that salvation is a free gift from God. You cannot earn it, and none of us are trying to earn it.
But James 2:21-23 notes that if one loves God, one is motivated to show it. And 1st John 5:3 says that the way to show God love is to follow His commandments.
In other words, what one needs is faith in God and in His promises, which the Bible says that without faith it is impossible to please God well, precisely because you must believe that He is and that He is the rewarder of those earnestly seeking Him (you must believe He exists and that He does reward us for our faith--Hebrews 11:6). What will save you is faith.
But if you have faith, you are motivated to do the works that please God. If you don't do the works, then that shows that you have no motivation to do such works. And since it is faith that provides that motivation, the unwillingness to do the works shows that you have no faith. It shows that you either don't believe God exists or that you don't believe He will reward you for earnestly seeking Him. Either way, the lack of works proves the lack of faith. Works will not save you, but they are proof that you have what will save you: faith.

To show you what I mean, think about when you were a young child. Perhaps you remember drawing a picture for your mother, or bringing your father breakfast in bed on an anniversary or something like that.
If you had not drawn that picture or brought that breakfast in bed, would your parents hate you? Of course not. They would always love you, their love is a free gift and you do not need to do anything to earn it. But that picture or that effort you put forward is proof that you love them. Not doing those things will not cause them to stop loving you, but they did appreciate the effort you put forth for them as showing that you do love them.
It is the same with God. God loves you and will not take that love from you even if you never showed Him any love. But following His commands shows that you love Him, it is the physical proof of your emotional state. Works do not save you any more than a picture is what makes your mother love you, or breakfast in bed makes your father love you. But they do show your emotional state of love and faith.
