I know what you mean. But for me it's pretty simple. See, God is not a superhero. I mean, I don't "know" what God is exactly, but one thing I know and that's God is not a bottled genie. We have a saying over here in Mexico, it says "God doesn't grant whims nor straightens the hunchbacked". I'm translating from Spanish, but I guess the main idea is there. Which kind of means, he's not a wishing well.

See, I've come to believe that although God could stop all the cr@p, perhaps it's not His job to do it. Maybe, just maybe, it is ours. Still we make wars, crave money and power, or simply turn our backs to those that could use a hand... There are poor people because rich people are not willing to give up their perks. Sadly, equality most times means we "descend" to poverty, not that everyone gets rich. We even blame the media for it, but the truth is, we want the gadgets, we want the cars, the suits, the land, the bling.

So there it is. It's not God's carelessness, it's us, and what we have come to call life.

About dreams, well, not all of them are destined to come true. It depends on what your dreams are. Listen, I do believe in God, but after all those years watching how my life seems to lose all meaning by the day, after forgetting my dreams and hopes, I've never asked Him to grant them to me. Because I realize it was not God's job to give me a life. It's my privilege and my duty to create it. So as I see everything lost, I just try and do whatever good I can. I've seen people do worse, way, way worse than that.

I can't make you believe again. I don't believe reciting by memory from the Bible will make you feel any better, or place that missing piece where it should. All I can tell you is life is good most times. I say simply breathing is a miracle. I say the blood running up and down our veins is a miracle in itself, the movement of a spider, a hand both capable of squeezing and caressing. All constant and present miracles. That's God's job.

Correcting what is wrong in this world is our job. Maybe someday we'll get it right, maybe it will always be there so we can see the good things we got. Newspaper headlines almost never say "good things happen today", quite the contrary. But you know, and I know, good things happen every single day. That's what really mathers, even if no one advertise them.

You know when you're running and you come to a point where you don't think that you can run anymore? Like you're all out, you're going to collapse? Like you can't go any further? And what happens when you keep running? You discover that you have a lot more endurance in you than you thought. Right now you're just hitting that wall that everyone hits at some point. But you just need to make sure that you won't be the person who stops running, because when you have lost faith, you have lost everything. Unfortunately, there are many people out there who don't believe, but the only reason why they don't believe is because they are not persistent, they don't keep on going, they just...stop. Trust me, once you get over that wall that you're facing, I can assure you things will get better. Just keep believing no matter what.

All you are doing is letting the enemy control your thoughts and not trust in God. If people would TRULY turn to God and live a life that is pleasing to Him, there would less sickness. Our Heaven is not on this earth. Times are tough, so what. God is faithful and will bring you through it. If you are loosing your life than you never really had as much as you thought you did. You need to fall on your face and cry out to Jesus and stay there till he answers. I pray right now in Jesus' name he fills your heart up with the faith and love you need. God Bless

well the man is really within, but say you were an evil person in a past life, then naturally someone would be evil to you in this life to pay off your debt that you owed, light and dark sister you can't appreciate happiness without misery, if all were happy there would be no drama it'd be a monotonous life and when someone would ask you how you were doing they'd already know you' were going to say Great!, its all a very intense game and we will look back later and say wow it really isn't forever is it, good luck sister on your search for truth

Before Satan rebelled there was no evil, only the potential for such. After his rebellion he enticed mankind to rebel as well. In this way evil came into the world. Nothing will change until Jesus returns to take back what is rightfully his.

???Upset??? NO!!! I asked the same things when younger than you! . . . Race riots were the norm, and the Vietnam war raged on. My health was not good and doctors weren't helping, but rather discouraging us from doing what was best for it. . . I made a collage of pictures from magazines of all the atrocities going on, & began asking various questions of different ones. . . I eventually prayed that God reveal himself to me so I could learn what was really going on, and a person who wasn't even religious advised me to speak with those who publish (the following) truly Bible-based information. . . I had become suicidal, but through them teaching me what God's Word REALLY says on these matters, God restored my hope in both himself, and, my personal future!

Satan lyingly told our first mother that her Creator was withholding something very desirable from her, and in so doing, insinuated that God's requirement of obedience was unlovingly restrictive. According to our perception of time, that occurred about 6,000 years ago---BUT, according to God's perception of time, it happened less than a week ago . . . Notice:

This is easier to imagine when we liken man's current, general lifespan (75 yrs > Ps 90:10) to that of a mouse. . . Mice live 2 years, & during that time they raise several large families. To them, that is a LONG time, but to humans it is hardly anything!

During this 'short' time, our Creator is allowing Satan to prove himself wrong (while trying to demolish God's purpose) in front of the entire heavenly & earthly throngs of creation, thereby leaving no doubt --& providing legal precedence-- for never allowing *any* possible future rebellion to lead to heartache again!

Anyway, if monotheism isn't working for you, then there's no point in forcing yourself. Just drop it and move on with your life.

You can't force yourself to believe in something that does not seem real to you. If gods (or unicorns, leprechauns, etc.) are not believable to you, you can't make yourself believe in them.
