Isn’t atheism just as divisive as ‘religion’. I don’t see secular humanism bringing people together.?
it's also funny how atheism think that if there is no religion then there would be no more wars. Yeah like we don't have wars over land, oil, respect, food, people, freedom, power,or even weapons.
I would agree that atheists tend to be far more divisive as religion, as there is only one point of agreement (that there probably isn't a god) instead of several. However, I never argued that religion is the route of all evil and have argued against that viewpoint frequently. A better argument is that religion allows people to commit atrocities that never would have been considered without a religious belief (Such as 9/11, circumcision, Radical Islamic states, etc.)
you're right that religion doesn't cause *all* wars, but it used to be practically the *only* cause of war back when people were insane in society - just look at the nigerian riots today; people destroying things and burning churches because of a rumour that somebody blasphemed - apply this to an international scale.
I really fail to see how NOT believing in magic could possibly be considered as divisive as believing in magic, particularly when there are so many conflicting magical beliefs out there.

No, and your assertion is absurd.

Theists have the same list with the addition of 'religion'.
Yeah...we aren't a group to start with there Skippy.
And we don't think no more. We just see that it would be one less thing to fight about. And that one is a big one.
Meh... I am an atheist cos god is imaginary.
Produce a god and I'll have a re-think.
I won't wait up ;)

"Secular humanism" is often used as a guise for Communism.
even more so
atheistic doctrines such as 'evolution' teach that some people are inherently 'superior' to others, and 'survival of the fittest'
"God works all things to the good"
"Secular humanism" is a rallying call for Satan.
