------ As I checked the email address of "The Yahoo!® Security Department" is [email protected] and when I opened the VERIFY YOUR ACCOUNT LINK, I was directed to http://liveverify.56activelog.yahoo.activatelog.co... with a window that shows I have to log in or sign in to yahoo.. Is that for real? Anyone help thanks. I am afraid that it is fishing my log in details.

Definitely a scam attempt to phish your info.. Delete and mark as spam and forget it.. As first user said.. it is not the way yahoo verifies your account..
Just assume it is a scam and ignore it.
The worst that would happen if it is real is that someone keeps trying to hack your account and it's unlikely they'll ever get in unless your password is crappy.
The worst that would happen if it is not real is that someone actually steals your information.
You can update your email and security information and Yahoo does ask that you do this every now and again, but it's only when you already sign on. What you described just smells a little fishy.
I also got the same e-mail. I suggest that we ignore this since the root directory is activelog and not yahoo. Or maybe someone can report this directly to yahoo authorities :)
