Yes, it is multicultural, very much so. It's an amazing city.
Istanbul is a wonderful city to visit that really sums up the whole east meets west feel. The majority of the people are Turks, but there is a variety of ethnic groups represented including Kurds, Bosniaks, and Greeks.

It has some few Armenians Arabs Persians and Greek and some others.
i am sure that every normal person would highly prefer Turks over Greeks, Arabs and Persians.
