That all depends on the type of job it is, if it is sales in a store like WalMart you will be giving yourself a death sentance when it comes to getting that job. Also have the days off during the work week can be quite nice, The bank is open every place is open the beaches are less crowed and you can take care of personal business better. I rather work the weekends and have my days off during the week.
If they are open on weekends & you are a new hire you won't get the job if you tell them that. Entry level jobs almost always require nights or weekends.
Not smart. Wait until they ask you about your availability. If you're applying for a retail or fast food position, telling them you won't work weekends practically assures that you won't get the job.
Yes, if you can't work weekends its a good thing to get out there. It could cost you the job but if it does then maybe this wasn';t the right job for your situation anyhow.

You must have a reason. I tell interviewers that I'm not able to work on Sundays because of religious reasons, and this is fine.
NOT until they are truly interested in hiring you and they let you know your work schedule.
If it's a job where people work weekends, they'll drop you from being considered.
Kiss this job good by.

That may depend on how bad you need or want the job. I wouldn't say this during an interview if I wanted or need the job.
Yes, but that depends on how desperate you want the job.
