Obama promised 8% unemployment and 600,000 new jobs by the end of the summer to get the stimulus passed.
Summer is now over and did you notice that the liberal media is quiet as a mouse about this. No bias there!

Yes and I am sure that Halliburton, Dick Cheney and Karl Rove were in on all this stuff too.
It is getting pretty late in the game to continue to blame Bush. By the way things were doing pretty well until the Democrats took over both houses of Congress two years ago and it was Democrats Frank and Dodd who told us that Freddy Mac and Fannie Mae were just in wonderful shape.
What cracks me up is the form of people who "drank the klool-help" on Republicans "obstructing" on the time the "stimulus" grow to be handed the democrats had an overpowering majority in the two the residing house and the Senate. I certainly have examine quite some of the "jobs" costs liberals say we blocked, they have been larded with crimson meat and did little to help every person. what's certainly a hoot is that the republican residing house handed a minimum of 20 costs and a funds, all have been tabled in Reid's workplace with not one of the controversy we could consistently have had.
It's time to stop the blame and solve the problems.
As far as I'm concerned, when you take over from someone else--the blame stops there and you get to implement your solutions. If you're wrong, then you have to except the blame till the next one come in.
I think whatever problems were left, are now being multiplied.
Instead of finding a solution ,the problem just keeps getting bigger and bigger, not smaller and smaller.
Bush enacted the first stimulus bill long before Obama had taken the oath of office. History that recent cannot be convincingly rewritten. Try again in 30 years.
Sure it is, and it's also Bush's fault George Washington
lied about the cherry tree...lightning struck it off Ben Franklin's kite string!
It is Bush's fault now and will be in 20 years because that and the race card are all the libs have to defend the performance of this administration.
Can you link to a quote of Obama saying "I promise that the stimulus will keep unemployment from going over 8%"?
No, you can't.
What he said was - without the stimulus, the country will continue to lose jobs.
Since the stimulus was passed, job loss numbers have been shrinking. The country is on track for job GROWTH by years end.
He said if the stimulus wasn't passed, that things would continue to get worse. Yes, they made predictions about jobs that didn't turn out as predicted, but those were not promises. But since the economy is turning around, it looks like he was right about the most important part.
Just another lie from a lier.
