is the first graphics card a lot better than the second? Looking at two laptops side by side with the same specs otherwise, would you be able to tell right away which one has which graphics card or is there not that much of a difference?
Update:Ok that's good to know. My current laptop, which is 3 years old, has the first graphics card and I'm going to buy a Z series sony viao that has the second graphics card but the guy that worked at the store today kept trying to dissuade me from getting that laptop, saying that the graphics card wasn't very good without the extra graphics port it gives me the option of buying, saying I may as well just pick a different laptop and he just generally confused me. I needed the comparison between my current laptop, which works pretty good and has a good display to have a frame of reference.

The HD 4000 is way, way better. Like several times more powerful. It's also going to come with a much more powerful processor- the HD 4000s come with the newest processor line while the GMA 4500M HD comes with the processors that were released 4 years ago.
Well, HD4000s don't lag with flash content. I'll give you that. The GMA 4500MHD, that was so bad, I wanted to cry when I loaded up CoD 1.
AND THIS:
Get the external dock if you want to actually do some light 3D gaming (low-medium on most of today's games.) The 7650M is sooooo much better. And if you want a DVD drive.
