Toy Story, not only because it's about toys, but also the first film in this franchise (from 1995) is the very first computer-animated feature-length film (despite other CGI direct-to-videos and TV series that came before this full-length film) as well as the very first Pixar feature film (despite that some Pixar shorts came before this movie). Also next year, there will be another sequel (fourthquel which is Toy Story 4) in this franchise which makes 2019 a very special year for me. Another thing special about Toy Story 4 is that it will be the last Pixar film in the 2010s and when it comes out on DVD/Blu-ray, I am planning to watch it at 11:30pm on New Years Eve 2019 to celebrate the end of the 2010s and the start of the 2020s.
If you count the whole Marvel Comics Universe?...I'd pick that as Numero Uno. Especially if you count X-Men, which Stan Lee franchised to Fox so many eons ago.

Walt Disney ! Disney films , and WALT Disney in particular, holds the record for the most Oscars EVER.
Countless films, over an incredible time span, beloved by generations, and merchandise that has circled the globe.
As Franchises go......no one comes even close.
My favorite are (in no specific order):
Back To The Future
Star Wars
The Hunger Games
But of course there are so many more: The Matrix, Lord of Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean, James Bond, etc.
Lord of the Rings
James Bond
MCU
mcdonals and KFC have franchises. Movies dont
To me it's Star Wars. James Bond is a close 2nd.

Greatest as in what I enjoyed the most is Star Trek
but I think Marvel has been the most profitable
Star Wars (the originals). Back to the Future is a close second.
Bond. James Bond.
