My HP PAVILION laptop won’t come on anymore. The charging light flashes white three times then goes red.
Update:I’ve unplugged the charger, removed the battery, and held the power button down, before putting the battery and charger back in. Still won’t come on. It wasn’t plugged in for a week because I didn’t know where the charger was at. It should have been back on by now and it’s not. Is the battery dead? It turned on and then immediately went off.

sounds like RAM problem. you can check your actual user guide for your model to confirm it. its not uncommon for ram sticks to pop out of their sockets slightly. they are often under the laptop (screw cover easy to check/remove) or under the keyboard (requires removal) which can be as simple as undoing 1 screw underneath then sliding back two lock switches on the keyboard and lifting up keyboard gently being careful not to stress the ribbon cable which needs to be unplugged to gain access to RAM. pop out the ram, then re-fit it making sure it locks in.
see owner's manual for exact model number. it's online, too. if that fails, you need a technician
