Also, is there a museum, battlefield parks or memorials on the Winter War?
Update:Anne, thank you! My company has a project in Finland and I am doing my best to get myself there sometime in the next six months. I would very much appreciate more infomation on sites to visit. Thanks!

There is a war memorial in Lappeenranta for those who died in the Winter War and the Continuation War. There are also other memorials. I am hoping to have more details for you in the next day or so but should this question expire by then I will happily email you with more detail if you are interested. I visited many of these places in the 1960's but my memory is a bit hazy with the names of these localities.(Old age..) I am a former Finn residing down under but have some contacts that will have the answers you're looking for. I am old enough to have heard of Simo Häyhä. DJ, please indicate here if you are interested in any further info and I will email as I receive it. Regards, Anne
Most of us younger Finns do not even know who that person is, we know Mannerheim of course but we were never told any of the names of his war comrades at school (we don't have that much war history at school any more)!
I'd say there has to be. I think it would be like asking if there was a memorial to Sgt. Alvin York.
