I’m about to start taking my prescription for tri sprintec and was wondering if I could start taking it on a certain day to change he day I start my period. I am supposed to start Saturday September 1st and would rather start on some Monday or beginning of the week.

NO...TAKE IT AS PRESCRIBED BY YOUR DOCTOR
You don't understand how birth control pills work. The hormones in the first 21 pills in the pill pack prevent ovulation from ever happening, and thus prevent pregnancy. But, the hormones in the pill have to have enough elapsed time for that to happen, and you have to take every pill on schedule.
If you want to prevent pregnancy during the first month and then continue to prevent pregnancy, afterward, you MUST begin your initial round of pills on the day that the instructions for your specific brand of pills tells you to begin on.
always ask the dr
NO, you must follow the instruction on the leaflet. You will have a withdrawal bleed sometime in the 4th week, so forget the times of your previous periods. Your body does not have a clock so it comes on the same day each month.
Start taking it on the first day of your period.
Follow the instructions!
You should start the pill pack when you end your next period. So the last day you see blood you should start the pill pack. This is so your body doesn't fight with the pill too much and you don't have issues like breakthrough bleeding or spotting. Once your body is on a regular cycle with the pills, you can change when you take them to change when you get your period.
