Back in the olden days, there were company towns where they owned all the stores and housing, so the company pretty much got back most of the money the workers earned. I'm not saying this is a good thing! Just a step above slavery, really! 

Those greedy rich guys don't want to build affordable housing when they could build expensive housing and charge more. Nowdays, pretty much every dollar we spend goes to make some rich guy even richer. Your rent, your food, your smokes, your electric bill, your phone. Capitalism is lopsided, and just two steps above slavery. The "excess profit" is appalling.

Two workers making $10 per hour make $41,600 per year.  That should be enough to live on. 

A livable wage is important, but we will always have some people who for medical or developmental reasons will not be able to fully support themselves, it is the responsibility of a government to help these people.   While we have many working poor, busting their butts working every hour and crappy job they can get while on the flip side these corporations are owned by greedy billionaires making their money off the back of the poor.   Make them pay the wages people deserve or make them pay a whole lot more in taxes for the same cause.

so basically,  you just assume that somebody should be forced to pay YOUR expenses but quite typically, you don't want it to come out of YOUR taxes.... so it should be the mean old business owner that should take over where your parents left off...

upgrade your job skills ... that's the message the universe is sending when your wages don't cover the amounts you want to spend.  or else, spend less ... plainly, you have internet access -- that's a luxury, not a necessity
