I work for a manufacturing plant on the night shift. I’m 1 of 3 non smokers and work with 8 other smokers. Since we work the night shift there is very little supervision from higher ups and all the smokers are my superiors. I’ve emailed hr multiple times and nothing seems to get done. I shouldn’t have to confront these coworkers 1 on 1 as that could create a hostile work environment. I’m also worried about retailiation for being a “rat”. What should I do next? In my state it is illegal to smoke in the workplace. Every door on the building says smoke free building.
