I know I know... “not all meds work for the same for everybody”. I was just recently diagnosed with depression and anxiety about 8 weeks ago. I take Wellbutrin. (I was out on Topamax at the same time for headaches.) I have my appointment next week and I know she’ll probably up my dosage but I just have this feeling it won’t work. The last 8 weeks have been a roller coaster of emotions. Maybe I’m just messed up? Maybe I’m not depressed and maybe that’s why they’re not working? I guess that’s my question. If I’m not feeling a change, could it mean I’m not depressed? And that something else could be wrong?

It probably means that you need a dosage adjustment or a different medication or both.
No, it does not mean that you are not Depressed. It just means that you either need your dosage changed, or you have not given it long enough to work or that the medication is just not working for you and you need to have your Dr. prescribe a different medication to try.
no. i took anti-depressants for about a year but my dad took me off of them because i walked and talked like i was dead. it kind of just changed my entire personality. they made me calmer, but in a bad way.
i mean, that's different from not working at all obviously, but i'm sure it doesn't mean you aren't depressed. anti-depressants just make you worse anyways. and sometimes they take awhile (weeks) for your body to get used to after you first start taking them. so at first they probably won't have any impact on you positively or negatively whatsoever, at all.
no, not all of them work, in fact many antidepressants are useless.
I've been on the same med for 30 years because it works for me.
