I think you hit the nail on the head; if you'd randomly met up and he'd gotten plastered or caught up in the heat of the moment, that's one thing, but this was clearly deliberate; he even lied to you to get you to sleep with him. That is not the behaviour of someone who loves their fiance. He's just trying to fulfill his obligation as a father.

If he does love her then he definitely does not respect her. Maybe he loves her because she's the mother of his son or maybe he has feelings for her but I can't say I think he's in love with her. I think if he truly loved her and cared about her feelings and respected her he wouldn't cheat.
