Its completely ripped in half can i just cellotape it back together and give it to the bank and will they give me a replacement?
The banks will have a special counters for exchange of mutilated/spoiled Notes/torn notes. You can exchange with any bank.
The Bank of England can reimburse you for damaged or mutilated banknotes. You need to fill out a form and send the remains of the banknote to them. If they accept your claim, they'll send a check back. No need to cellotape the ripped banknote.
Just go to your bank with the pieces. They'll give you a new 10 pound note.
