will i have to pay the monthly payments they are asking for, i have also heard about a grant would this help me? thanx
Update:this was a couple of years ago and i forgot to renew my insurance. i held my hands up paid the court fees and got the points, it was a small collision with a minibus, about £1000 worth of damage but then everyone on the bus claimed. 'you know how it is' but then i started to get bombarded with letters from motorists insurance bureau. dont be saying things like that without knowing the full story. thankyou

If the accident was your fault and you didn't have insurance then YES you have to pay. And NO there are no grants to pay it for you.
You chose to drive without insurance. That's your stupidity.
The government is not going to bail you out.
Firstly. What is 'mib'?
Secondly. If it was a small collision how can there be 30 grands worth of damage?
No you don't have to pay anything unless ordered to by a court. You might as well hold your hands up and admit it to the police. you'll get 6 points on your licence for a few years and a small fine (plus a criminal record for driving without insurance), but you won't have to cough up anywhere near £30,000. A few hundred at least in court fines & costs.
