Basically, I want to put a hermit crab tank in my room. I share a room with my sister and she doesn’t want it. I’m not sure why because they don’t smell and she won’t have to take care of it, I will. The only difference between having the hermit crabs and not is not being able to spray perfumes or air freshners (but she can do it outside the room). I don’t understand why it is a big deal and why she doesn’t want it so much. Should I still get it? I have been saving up for the last two years to get a tank for the hermit crabs but all of a sudden she doesn’t want them in our room.

This is a discussion you need to have with the whole family - mom and dad, your sister and YOU. Yes, it is half her room but it is also half yours. Get your parents help to get to the bottom of her sudden change of mind. They are very inoffensive little pets and do not smell when properly cared for. And good for you for actually taking the initiative for saving up money for the crabs and their habitat.
Then you can't have one
Its not even your room. You are a child so you have no say what so ever about getting a pet.
Well I don't see what the problem may be, we had 5 hermies and the only smell was a bit of fish smell sticking your nose in the tank. Smelled more like the moss we added for play hides.
Perhaps just a matter of sharing a room means having some respect for each other.
If you can't work this out, consider keeping your crabs in another room.
If that is out, then hold off with the hermies until you have your own room to yourself.
No, you shoudln't get them.
If you can keep them in another part of the house, then go ahead. But if you can't, then don't.
The room is half hers, so if she says no, then you shoudln't.
I wouldn t. Can you put them somewhere else?
